CALL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Updated: Apr 20, 2021

God has given us the Holy Spirit to empower us. On the day
of Pentecost, Jesus told the disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit, to
receive power from on high, before they began their ministries. (Luke 24:48)
"The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive because it does not
see Him or know and recognize Him, for He lives with you and will be
in you." (John 14:17)
The disciples before Pentecost were just mere men walking with the Holy Spirit,
but when the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost, they were filled with the Holy Spirit which gave them God's power to reach the world with the Gospel.
Likewise, today we are urged by the Spirit of God to receive Christ as our Savior
and then submit to being Baptized in the Holy Spirit so we will receive power
to minister to the world.
Many reject the Baptism of the Holy Spirit because they are often offended
by the way some Spirit-Filled believers sometimes behave after being baptized
in the Holy Spirit which comes with the gift of speaking in tongues.
But, I encourage you not to reject this spiritual gift given to us by God that
will empower you to reach the world with the Gospel. This gift is powerful
and necessary to a victorious Christian life.
The Apostle Paul is considered the most effective minister of the Gospel and
he acknowledges that he "speaks in tongues more than you all."
(I Corinthians 14:18)
(I Corinthians Chapter 14-33 - explains the proper use of tongues)
The power of the indwelling Holy Spirit will give you power to better
understand God's Word and teach you how to live victoriously through
that power. He will encourage you, uplift you, teach you, guide you, and make
Himself real to you. Don't miss your chance at a more powerful relationship
with Him!
